Fridays at Four: Closed for the season
I've been coaching youth volleyball in Atlanta for 13 years, and I feel
there are not enough opportunities for very young players to learn volleyball.
Middle school kids have more options, but as my club team is 10- and 11-year-olds,
I would love to push the introduction of the sport even younger. So Fridays at Four (F@4),
open gyms for little kids, 11 and under - 2nd through 5th grade - is my attempt to change this.
F@4 is designed to be low commitment - no club, no teams, no signup, only $10/session,
just show up and get some instruction and some game play, any Friday afternoon.
Our sessions are designed to introduce and reinforce basic volleyball
skills including passing, hitting, and serving, but with less pressure
and more emphasis on fun than in a typical school or club team practice -
lots of game play too with coaches and student assistant coaches helping out.
Learning volleyball is about repetition so I created these Friday sessions
to give more opportunities to Atlanta's youngest players.
If your young son or daughter is interested in volleyball,
please show up, any Friday in season!
Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions you might have.
